Southeast Whitfield can testify that even when the Lady Bruins go to their bench, they don't become much less of a challenge. Junior post Quaneisha McCurty, one of those returning starters, scored 12 points as the Lady Bruins won 64-18 on Friday at Southeast, but Kayla Piorkowski played super substitute against the Lady Raiders wi

Recent flooding across North Georgia has made even the simplest everyday tasks tough to accomplish for those who live in the area. Roads are closed, homes are ruined and some schools have been shut down in recent days. In Tunnel Hill, it's been four days since the Northwest volleyball team has practiced or played together, but the skies dried up enough for the Lady Bruins to host a tri-match against Murray County and Rome on Tuesday.

The positive for us is, No. 1, a lot of kids got to play   -David Crane
